Foods in Ride a Pet
Foods in Ride a Pet give your pets EXP when you feed them. The five foods below range from Grass, which costs 10 Cash and provides 500 EXP, to Dragonfruit, which costs 30,000,000 Cash and provides 1,000,000 EXP.
Visit the Food NPC to buy food, then take it out of your backpack to feed a pet. You can feed pets individually or use the pet list while standing inside their enclosure.
Food prices, rarities, and EXP
Compare the cost and EXP of each food before choosing what to buy.
| Food | Rarity | Price | EXP gained |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grass | Rare | 10 Cash | 500 |
| Bone | Epic | 1,500 Cash | 10,000 |
| Meat | Legendary | 30,000 Cash | 100,000 |
| Magic Apple | Mythic | 7,000,000 Cash | 300,000 |
| Dragonfruit | Ethereal | 30,000,000 Cash | 1,000,000 |
Dragonfruit gives the most EXP per food in this list, while Grass has the lowest purchase price. A higher EXP amount also comes with a higher price, so compare both columns when planning your purchases.

How to get food in Ride a Pet
Food is available from the Food NPC:
- Walk up to the Food NPC.
- Interact with the NPC to open the shop's item list.
- Choose the food you want.
- Check its price and available stock, then purchase it.
Enable auto-buy for food you want to keep buying
Rare food stock can sell out within seconds of a refresh. In the shop, tick the auto-buy option for the foods you want so they can be purchased as soon as stock returns.
Set your selections before the next refresh and keep enough Cash available for the purchase. This saves you from having to find the item and buy it manually during a short restock window.
Auto-buy is also useful for radar purchases; see the gears and radar guide for that shop's items and prices.
How to feed pets
There are two ways to feed your pets. Both begin with taking food out of your backpack.
Method 1: Feed a pet directly
- Open your backpack and take out the food you want to use.
- Walk beside the pet you want to feed.
- Click the pet to bring up the Feed button.
- Click Feed to give it the food.
This method lets you choose a pet directly in the game world.
Method 2: Feed pets through the enclosure's pet list
- Open your backpack and take out the food.
- Walk inside the pets' enclosure.
- Look for the pet icon on the right side of the screen.
- Click that icon to open the pet list.
- Use the list to feed the pets you choose, one by one.
The list lets you access each pet without having to click each one in the enclosure. Opening the list does not automatically feed every pet; select the pets you want to feed from there.
Food shopping and feeding checklist
- Compare price and EXP. Choose a food that suits your available Cash and the amount of EXP you want to give.
- Prepare for restocks. Enable auto-buy in advance for rare foods you want, since their stock can disappear quickly.
- Take the food out first. Do this before interacting with a pet or opening the enclosure's pet list.
- Choose your pet. Use direct feeding for a specific pet, or the list when feeding several pets individually.
